The couple took over the salon almost five years ago from its previous owner.īeyond being a mom-and-pop business, the salon also offers good customer service, according to junior criminology and psychology major Meghan Connolly. Jennifer Thai, the salon owner’s wife, moved to Maryland about 10 years ago. Ragusa also likes to support Revo Nail and Spa because it’s a family business. “ I have to get in the car to go, so it's more of a hassle,” Ragusa said. Kacie Ragusa, a junior business major, only has to cross the street twice from her sorority house and walk roughly five minutes to get her nails done at Revo Nail and Spa. Even for those with wheels, convenience is often a priority. Two doors down from Marathon Deli, Revo Nail and Spa is the go-to place for many students living on or near campus without a car.
While UM Nail Spa lies directly across the street from the University View, Revo Nail and Spa is more centrally located for other students. The most popular salons among students in College Park are Revo Nail and Spa and UM Nail Spa, both on Baltimore Avenue. Just off-campus, students can take a spa day without overspending.
